New Mexico has the largest area of radio receivers in the world. It is called the VLA- Very Large Array. These extremely large satellites span thirty-eight miles and have the power to detect energy from millions of light years away. Astronomers from all over the world come to view the images detected by this Very Large Array. We spend billions of dollars a year trying to discover a word, an image, a sound from outer space, all the while; God has already given us a clear authoritative Word from Heaven.

The Bible is God’s Word to humanity. We need not look for falling stars, or a celestial uttering. We have been given in complete and final form the very Words of God. Inspired and immutable the Bible teaches us everything God wants us to know.

I sometimes think people would be more apt to believe God if they heard a voice from the clouds, or saw a sign from the cosmos; but in reality, we have something more powerful and eternal. Heaven and earth will pass away, but the smallest part of the smallest letter of the smallest word of God’s Book will never fail. When we hold our Bibles, we hold the very Words of God.
