In his book Better Than Good, author and speaker Zig Ziglar tells the story of two hunters, Sam and Jed. They had been employed by a wild-life organization to track and hunt wolves. Each wolf they captured and brought back alive brought a five thousand dollar reward.
They spent several days scouting their territory and setting up their traps. After a few days of not seeing anything they grew tired and exhausted. They set up their camp and fell asleep around the fire. Awakened by an angry snarl, Jed screamed at Sam to wake up. When Sam opened his eyes, he saw they were surrounded by fifty growling wolves. Sam began to shout, “We’re rich! We’re rich!”
Your outlook on life will determine if you are “rich” or eaten alive. In the midst of every obstacle is an opportunity. Those with the right perspective on life always have a better chance of success. Thomas Edison said, “Most people believe they will wake up one day and find themselves rich. Actually, they have got it half right, because eventually they do wake up.”
What you do with life once you wake up will determine if you capture the wolf or if the wolf captures you!
