December 26 – The Resurrection

How to Live the Resurrection Life (starting now) - The Arc

If we only see Christ as a bleeding, helpless, weak victim upon a Roman cross, we have not seen the true Christ of the Bible. Some religions and denominations only accentuate the suffering and humility of Jesus. They enshrine His manger, they worship His cross, yet they do those things without seeing Christ in all of His glory.

Yes, Jesus tasted death for every man. He bore the pain and suffering of Calvary’s tree. He was bruised for our iniquities. However, three days later, He rose victorious. He is the Resurrection. He told Mary and Martha, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, ye shall he live again” (John 11:25). When John heard these words on the isle of Patmos, he fell as a dead man, “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and behold, I am alive forevermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and death” (Revelation 1:18).

Jesus is the first fruits of the Resurrection, and those who believe in Him for salvation have been granted that same resurrection life. The world only sees Christ alive in you if you live in the victory and glory of His resurrection power. The truth is, Christmas would mean nothing without Easter! Our Savior is alive, and alive forever!
