November 1 – Testing… 1,2,3

I have never met a singing group that did not first test their equipment before the beginning of a concert.  The universal sound bite for those who set their sound is “Testing 1, 2, 3; Testing 1, 2, 3.”  This not only insures the quality of the sound but it also gives the performers a sense of confidence as they make their way to the stage.  This warm-up process is the precursor to the main event.

The apostle John saw the people of God in the book of Revelation standing before the throne of God.  Those blood-bought believers are glorifying God and singing praises unto the Lord. Those who stand at the throne are the saints of God who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ.  One of the great experiences of heaven will be the atmosphere of praise and worship to the Lamb of God.

We need not wait until we get to Heaven to glorify the Lord with our praise.  We can sit in “heavenly places” right here on earth.  We shouldn’t be afraid to honor the Lord with our lives and lips.  We are to worship Him in private and public, in the church house and in the school house, in the cathedral and in the kitchen.  Get warmed up now for eternity.  Declare the goodness of God in this generation and get ready for the main concert in Heaven. Testing 1, 2, 3!
